Leading members of Chogan Group, including its originators, have been detained for “financial deceit, cleansing of monetary assets and self-cleansing, in addition to fiscal and insolvency offenses.”
The operation named “Paradise World,” launched by the Italian enforcement agencies, culminated in four individuals being taken into custody this past week.
Established in 2013, Chogan Group is an Italian MLM enterprise specializing in personal care items.

The endeavor by the Trani Prosecutor’s Office, which on this day 30 May 2024 led to four individuals being incarcerated (three in penitentiary facilities, one under domicile arrest, plus one prohibition of commercial undertakings) on the basis of charges associated with criminal unity directed at financial deceit, money cleansing and self-cleansing, as well as fiscal and bankruptcy-related offenses.
The inquiry encompasses a total of nine suspects, including the Chogan Group Spa enterprise under article 231.
The individuals apprehended so far include:
- Pier Luigi Scricco – indicated as Chogan Group’s bookkeeper and “architect of the deceitful maneuver”
- Michelangelo Paradiso, one of the founders of Chogan Group and its CEO
- Scelzo Liborio, another founder and Chairman of Chogan Group
- along with Arcangela Fumarulo, a founding member of Chogan Group (confined to home arrest)
Delfino Kemuel Paradiso was not apprehended but is subject to a half-year interdict on engaging in “business actions”.
As recorded by Puglia Viva, indictments against all five Chogan Group offenders are connected to “criminal cartel with the objective of perpetrating tax delinquencies”.
The deceitful plot allegedly had been concocted to artificially inflate Chogan Group’s expenditures, thereby reducing Chogan Group’s tax liabilities.
In relation to the probe, Italian officers have confiscated assets amounting to €355 million euros associated with Chogan Group.
Monitoring the Chogan Group legal proceedings is expected to be arduous, but updates will be conveyed as they come to light.
