The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a caution concerning securities fraud linked to WDC Quantify.
According to the warning issued by the FCA on May 20th, WDC Quantify
appears to be providing or endorsing financial services or products without our authorization.
Engagement with this firm should be refrained from, and one should be vigilant of swindles.
WDC Quantify is associated with a series of failed ‘click a button’ app Ponzi schemes.
In our September 2023 evaluation, TRUST identified that out of six known online presences of WDC Quantify, five have been deserted, in line with each subsequent collapse and revival of the deceitful scheme.
Notably, in November 2023, TRUST observed WDC Quantify was being operated via the domain “wdcvip.top”. While this domain remains operative, SimilarWeb reports a mere ~1100 visitor count per month.
The FCA’s alert references the operation of WDC Quantify from five additional domains:
- wdcquantify.net – registered privately on September 21st, 2023
- wdcagigpt.top – registered privately on February 20, 2024
- wdcai.org – registered with counterfeit details on March 2nd, 2024
- wdcagigpt.org – registered with counterfeit details on March 13th, 2024
- wdcagigpt.vip – registered with counterfeit details on January 8th, 2024
There may be additional WDC Quantify domains in use or in a state of suspension, prepared for future activation.
From the recent domain registrations, it is evident that WDC Quantify’s newest attempts to perpetuate fraud centers around AI-related themes.
WDC Quantify stands amongst the copious ‘click a button’ app Ponzi operations that have emerged since end of 2021.
It is suspected that criminal factions rooted in China, with influence throughout Asia, are the instigators of the persisting ‘click a button’ app Ponzi epidemic.
